For schools & administrators

Add one requirement. Reach every student who drives.

The permit line is the one place every student driver in your building passes through. Attaching a single screening to it costs one class period, needs no new budget, and puts the message in front of the students most likely to be in an impaired-driving crash.

Step 01

Assign

Every student applying for a parking permit watches the film during advisory, health, or a single class period. Watching at home before the application window counts too.

Step 02

Verify

Students complete the debrief sheet and sign the completion log. One signature page covers an entire cohort of applicants.

Step 03

Issue

No logged completion, no permit. Renewals repeat every year, so next year's new drivers are covered as well.

Permit policy language

Students applying for a campus parking permit must complete the ONE SECOND impaired-driving film and debrief before a permit is issued.

- The film is screened during one class period, or watched at home with a guardian.
- Completion is recorded on the permit completion log and filed with the application.
- Permits are renewed only after completion is confirmed again for the current school year.
- Families may request an alternate written assignment by contacting the activities office.

Guardian note

Dear families,

Starting this school year, students applying for a campus parking permit will watch a short film of first-person interviews with people convicted of impaired driving, then complete a discussion sheet in class.

The goal is simple: every student driver in this building hears what happens after one bad decision, before they make one.

If you would prefer your student complete an alternate written assignment instead, contact the activities office and we will arrange it.

Watch the film before you adopt it.

A twenty-second excerpt is enough to hear the tone of it. The full film screens in one class period, not on the open web.
